HOW TO ARRIVE TO PUEBLA AND VENUE
Please note that there is another Puebla , city and airport ,but in Spain!
There are two international airports near Puebla, Mexico. The Puebla Hermanos Serdan Airport and the Mexico City International Airport; the former is about 40-50 mins from downtown Puebla and the second is about 2 hrs to Puebla in a comfortable bus that you would take directly at the airport.
The Puebla airport is located outside the town of Huejotzingo, Puebla. The advantage of arriving there is that it is a very small airport and you can take a taxi directly to your hotel in downtown Puebla . The disadvantage is that all international flights come through Houston, Texas and hence there are fewer options than if you flight to Mexico City.
If you land in the Puebla Airport, you buy the ticket within the airport.
DIRECTIONS TO ARRIVE TO PUEBLA FROM MEXICO CITY AIRPORT
In Mexico City`s airport there are two terminals, terminal 2 (Delta, Aeromexico etc.) and terminal 1 ( KLM, AirFrance, etc). They are relatively close, however, the connection is via the shuttle train. You do not need to go from one terminal to another: buses to Puebla start at terminal 1 and then go to terminal 2.

If you arrive at terminal 1:
When you pass the custom and go through the glass door, turn to your right, and in about 20 meters you will see
staircase to the second floor, take it. Before doing that, on the first floor you take a bit of money from any ATM machine that you can find - the round trip bus ticket is 388 Pesos ( about 31 US dls) and the taxi in Puebla is about 60-80 Pesos ( 5- 6 USdls). 1 USD dollar is approximately 13 pesos now)
NOTE: do not go out of the airport, the buses start INSIDE the airport and you buy the ticket on the second floor!
On the second floor, your should ask someone about the direction to the intercity buses (in your case, "autobus a Puebla"). You go along many shops and a fast food court . You should find a desk to buy the ticket to Puebla.
With your ticket then you go along the corridor about 30 meters, and downstairs to the buses (before going downstairs, you may wait in a hall ( ESTRELLA ROJA) with internet connection for travelers, you will see it).
If you arrive at terminal 2:
After you pass customs and a glass door, take your right and go along a long hall to the end where you can see the buses. There, you find the booths in which you buy ticket to Puebla

IN PUEBLA:
There are two bus stations in Puebla, CAPU and "Cuatro Poniente". It is better to go to Cuatro Poniente since it is a small station and much more convenient to take a taxi (just 5 meters from your bus). When you ask for the ticket to taxi, tell that you go to downtown ( CENTRO). Once in the taxi, tell the driver the name of your hotel.
If you arrive at CAPU, first you have to buy ticket for taxi "autorizado" (or "controlado") in a special "kiosk" or booth. You can find one of these "kiosks" labeled "Taxis Autorizados". Tell that you need ticket to the center of Puebla. With the ticket, at the taxi stop there is another "kiosk" where you turn in your ticket and get
a card with the number of taxi. Then, you find this taxi, give one part of the ticket to driver, keep the second one, tell the name of the hotel and can relax.

The conferences and the registration will be held in the main building of the Benemèrita Universidad Autónonoma de Puebla (BUAP) which is the huge yellow building in front of Hotel Colonial. The opening and the first session of the program will be in the SALON BARROCO
To get to the Salòn Barroco: Enter the BUAP building and after about 15-20 meters you'll see on your right some wide staircase, which bifurcates. Go up the left side to a corridor. Walk to the left and and when you reach the end turn to your right and you'll see the Registration desk, next to Salon Barroco. I may put signs.
The second and the rest of the session will be in a different hallroom, the SALON VERDE, which is about 50 steps beyond the SALON BARROCO.
